Old English lettering (also called “BlackLetter”) is just the first style we developed, due to its popularity and cool way that the letters come together.

This particular style of lettering is also not so common that it can be instantly analyzed by a person. In other words, the Old English letter samples allow us some degree of “poetic license” in forming the cool ambigram designs you see on this site.
