Upon close inspection, you should see the very first clue in the developing viral mystery of the upcoming Angels and Demons movie release. You’ll see the words “Altars of Science” embedded in the Illuminati ambigram (the detectives over at Video ETA successfully broke through this first clue).
So, what do you do with the “Altars of Science” clue? Good question.
Again, the Video ETA guys figured this one out. You do what any self-respecting Internet citizen would do, and you head over to the web site domain that is formed from that phrase. However, the Video ETA guys, and the bloggers that followed posted that the site only appears to get you a count-down to the movie’s release date.
Doesn’t it seem like there should be more than just a video count-down to the movie?
There is nothing on that page except the video, right?
Look more closely…
Not at the page itself, but what’s behind the page.
Try clicking on “View | Source”. You will see that there is one single paragraph that is normally invisible from view. Read what it says about the “four pillars”? What are the “four pillars”? Do you remember what they represent in the book?
Like the mystery itself, it’s a trail of sorts…

OK, you were warned.
In “Angels and Demons”, the “four pillars” represent the “Path of Illumination”.
So, what do you do with THAT information? Well, the “Path of Illumination” leads to the next clue, and will provide for you the “codes” to type in on the www.altarsofscience.com page.
Take the phrase “Path of Illumination”, and go create an ambigram from it (there are actually a few different places on the Internet you can do that).
The ambigram will NOT come out as expected. In fact, in it (and in its upside down version), you will see all four of the “codes” to type in. Except… they will also be encoded?
How? Well, that’s for you guys to figure out.
We can’t give you ALL the spoilers!
Oohhhh… you’ve got my curiosity going. I can’t wait to check into this further.

Googling SEO results in a first link to the same website (different page) as googling the phrase in question, but I still do not know what the next clue is.
after investiating i concluded that once turned “upside down” the ambigram clearly shows : “anitmatter and four pillars.” In Angels and Demons antimatter is a device used to blow up the Vatican… i think
hmm. Good Marketing, but the book is just a simple conspiracy theory for beginners guide, but i like the way you market the movie.

I just found something…. when you go to load the page “www.altarsofscience.com” a flash message appears once loading has begun, and with the help of the print screen button I have found that it reads,
“We will destroy your four pillars, brand your Preferiti and sacrifice them on the altars of science… and then bring your church down upon you. Vatican City will be consumed by light”
There have been no holy wars in the name of science, but science has led to the death of those whos technology was less supreme at the time.

Is anyone knows where find the “code” we need enter in the box called “enter codes”, i search everywhere on the website…and i found nothing…any ideas?
WOW!!! I FOUND the codes!!!!!!!!!
after almost going crazy trying to figure it out (took me 2 days) and dozens of possible numbers and combinations I finally found them.
It wouldn’t be fair to just give them out but I’ll give you a few clues & what not to look for.
- there are 4 codes, each will give you access to see a really short video clip about something related to the movie. I’m guessing they are real scenes, they look really raw, so they might even be deleted scenes or extra scenes. What are they?, let’s just say, you’ll see through the eyes of the Hassasin. You’ll be in the Illuminati lair.
- Once you have all codes, nothing really happens. I was expecting something like “Congrats, you have earned _____ extra points on your Path to Illumination…” but no. Still really cool, I felt like Robert for a second, breaking codes, LOL.
- if you count the digits spaces on the code field it has a total of 8. This however doesn’t mean all the codes are 8 digits in length. This is important to know, I spent a looong while trying to come up with numbers that were 8 digits in length. The shortest code is 4 digits and the longest one is 8 digits.
ie. (THESE ARE NOT THE CODES):
- 6784
- 67895432
- 67836
- 678930
- If you’re thinking about numbers mentioned on the book, like “666″, or “503″, or “5″ & “2″ (the Illuminati number?) or any other number, don’t waste your time, none of the numbers have anything to do with these. In fact I’m still trying to figure out what these numbers have to do with the book.
- The codes are not in the Source code either.
- Last night I almost couldn’t go to sleep thinking that the code had something to do with the clue mentioned “antimatter” but it doesn’t, or at least I can’t make the connection.

Reniet, thank you very much for giving the hints, but i disagree that those scenes are from eye of the Hassasin, because check again, there are camera numbers displaying on each of the scene top left corner, like camera number is displayed on antimatter canister scene,
so like antimatter canister live video stream, these four scenes are also live video streams of 4 other stolen cameras.

I found the codes pretty easy to crack.
you dont need fancy equipment or anything, just a strong mind, and it does actually help if you’ve read the books or at least have a vague idea of what they’re about

Well when I first discovered this I was fumbled as to what the codes where, then it came to me, I will tell you all looking for them right now that the ambigram of Path of Illumination solves nothing all those here in this discussion that claim to have decoded the codes are lying out of their teeth, there are also misleading guides here also. To obtain the codes, you should visit the official site for the movie, thats all i’ll tell you, from there all it takes is a good eye and common sense.

I’m now quite curious…. Up to this point, it has all been fairly easy. I read the book several years ago, but do not recall anything other then the “4 elements”, not six, that “33rd Degree” has suggesed. Yet I wonder why you would create a “web-challange” such as this is, yet end it with four, non-discript video clips. I have tried many other “number threads”, but have not found anything else. Has any one worked on the camera numbers ? Are we missing a hidden message ? Any other thoughts ?
Ya I cracked the codes in about 1-2 minutes without reading the hints or clues…. but if there are more to it than these 4 it is definitely harder to figure out. I was thinking about the illuminati diamond. since it was the 5th brand. but that wont fit if you use the same alphabet/number sequence…
Ok. I’ve tried a few different things, including the substitution of “The Fibonacci Sequence”, but that ends up giving me to many digits. I’ve also tried a few “variations” of the “four elements” from a variety of different disciplines (religions) and none of them seem to work. I really have no idea which direction to head to locate two more codes – if, indeed, two more codes do, actually do exist.

I’ve seen the movie yesterday (13th of May) and WOW what a movie!
Didn’t dissapoint me at all, there’s more “horror” and more action in it than The Da Vinci Code. The story makes you suspect many characters and then trows you of your feet at the end. Of course the music of Hans Zimmer makes it even better! I’m curious why the antimatter bomb hasn’t yet exploded on the altarsofscience site but is still ticking for about 10 hours?! WHAT’S GONNA HAPPEN??? There were 4 elements in the movie including a fifth brand… Is that the fifth code? But what’s the word for it then… I’ll be watching when the magnets of the antimatter explosive will run out of batteries…
